Artworks: "Alberto" and "Muses At The Bus Stop" profits divided and donated to Primavera Foundation Artworks: "City of Gastronomy" and "Frank's Salsa" profits divided and donated to Casa Maria Artworks: "Desert Animals" and "Who Rescued Who" profits divided and donated to Pima Animal Care Center Artworks: "DeGrazia's Chapel" and "Donny And The Mona Lisa" profits divided and donated to Arts For All. Recently, I decided to pick 10 artworks from a series I just completed, "50 Tucson Portrait Stories" and donate their profits to 4 local charities. I have enjoyed fulfilling these goals in creative ways, from using sales from exhibits to fill up Costco carts with goods for YOTO, drawing on shoes to be auctioned, having a hot dog lunch buffet outside of Casa Maria and donating art to a zillion silent auctions. Naming my art and design business, "Create For The People" was my attempt to touch on a couple of my priorities creating art that could somehow benefit others. Created in Our Image: The Miniature Body of the Doll As Subject and Object by Kitti Carriker. There are so many worthy non-profits, deciding where to focus can be daunting. Raising a family, taking care of aging parents, working, trying to stay healthy, it is easy to get overwhelmed by the needs in our community.
